In an unprecedented move, the four prosecutors that pushed for the maximum seven to nine-year
prison sentence following conviction of Roger Stone, all stepped down from the case with one resigning
entirely from the Justice Department. This move came quickly on the heels following an overturn of the
sentence from the Department of Justice, recommending a lesser sentence if a conviction is found. Many
claim that this move was nothing more than theatrics already planned out far in advance to build
sympathy for a future cause, this however still will be a move that is going to be remembered; good, bad,
or indifferent.
Ever since the gag order was placed on Roger Stone (a long-time friend of the show) information from
his side of the story has been only been gleaned from what can be pulled from filtered national sources.
